Quality Matters - a later life in Scotland

On Wednesday, 16th March 2016, Marianne Dee and Tracy Smith from the BESiDE team attended Age Scotland's annual national conference for stakeholders and inivited guests to explore the theme of Quality of Life in later life. 

The conference was chaired by award-winning journalist Pennie Taylor who was joined by guest speakers Fiona Cook - Facilitator, My Home Life Scotland, Andrew Crummy - Community Artist and Designer of the Great Tapestry of Scotland and Greg Lloyd - Emeritus Professor of Urban Planning at Ulster University. 

The issues examined all of the factors that contribute to Quality of Life including transport, housing, social engagement, health and social care.  In the afternoon Marianne and Tracy also took part in the interactive workshops 'Living Life Well in Care Homes' and 'Men's Learning and Well-being'.
